What does he do in the morning when he's got nothing to do? What does he do in the evening when he's got nothing to do? What does he do in the daytime when he's got nothing to do? He does nothing. Oh, he does nothing. What does he do in his office when he's got nothing to do? What does he do in our bedroom when he's got nothing to do? What does he do on the weekends when he's got nothing to do? He does nothing. A whole lot of nothing. Oh, he does nothing. And this is the man I was to marry next February. And this is the man. I thought he was right for me. Till I discovered his favorite activity is doing nothing. Oh, nothing. Where does he go in his car when he's got nothing to do? What does he do in our backyard when he's got nothing to do? What does he do in his spare time when he's got nothing to do? He does nothing. What does he do with his buddies when he's got nothing to do? What does he do with himself when he's got nothing to do? And what does he do with me when he's got nothing to do? He does nothing. A whole lot of nothing. But luckily, one day I caught him in the act. Well, I walked in on him as he was sitting in the dark, drinking a beer and just looking back - doing nothing. Nothing. A whole lot of nothing. Oh, nothing. What does he do in the morning? Nothin'! What does he do in the evening? Nothin'! What does he do in the daytime? Nothin'! No, he does nothing. What does he do in the winter? Nothin'! What does he do in the summer? Nothin'! What does he do in the spring time? Nothin'! Oh, he does nothin'! Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Oh, he does nothing. Nothing! A whole lot of nothin'... He does nothing!

I could walk along the water by myself well after dark. Sit upon a bench for hours all alone in Central Park. And I don't miss his heartbeat while I'm lying in my bed. I could watch my favorite TV shows, there's so many books I haven't read. I could paint when I'm inspired. I could gain a hundred pounds. Drink till I expire or hike up to the sacred grounds. And I'm not afraid of 'lonely' while I'm living all alone. And the only price I had to pay was one old gray stone. The only price I had to pay was one old gray stone. When I wake up in the morning I feel the sunlight shining through. I pick up my guitar and play. That's the only thing I want to do. And I'm not afraid of thunder while I'm lying all alone. And the only price I had to pay was one old gray stone. The only price I had to pay was one old gray stone. I'm tired. So I've retired. As I sit by the fire, I don't look back at the dreams that will never come true. And I'm not lonely, cuz I'm my own one and only. And I don't think I'm homely. But losing him has turned me in to one old gray stone. Yeah, losing him has turned me in to one old gray stone. The only price I had to pay was one old gray stone.

To You 04:34
Give me your heart. I'll give you mine. As long as we've got each other, I know everything will be fine. Stay close to me. Right by my side. Please know that darling, I've got nothing to hide - from you. Come over here. Please take my hand. Sometimes it feels like you're the only one who understands. If I searched the world, I'd never find someone as gentle And someone as kind as you. Let me take off your coat and take off your shoes. It's been a long day, oh - let me kiss away the blues. Let's make a fire. Lie down by it's light. I won't you so close to me that you're inside me tonight. And I'd like to thank you for all that you've done. 'Cause you've made me blossom like a flower kissed by the sun. And I'll always love you. And I'll always be true. There's no one in this world that could ever compare Yes, I'll always love you. And I'll always be true. There's no one in this world that could ever compare to you. Ever compare to you... Ever compare to you...

Doctor, I don't want to be here. But, something's not right, that's clear. Can you take away my darkest fear? And, Doctor, can you use your high tech machinery to protect my femininity. Oh, I don't want to be here. I need my eyes to laugh with. My lungs to sing with My heart to lead with. Just give me one more healthy day. Oh, one more healthy day... Doctor, I don't even know you. But I guess I better show you something I found. Not one, but two. Doctor, tell me have they found an answer? Have they found a cure for cancer? Oh, I guess you would've told me. I need my mind to dream with My legs to dance with. My heart to lead with. Just give me one more healthy day. Oh, one more healthy day... Just one more healthy day... I need my arms to hold with. My gut to feel with. My heart to love with. Oh, Doctor - Please. Give me one more healthy day. Oh, one more healthy day... Just give me one more healthy day.

Mocking bird, mocking bird singing her song. Oh, wouldn't it be nice if I could sing along? Mocking bird, mocking bird, every day. She sings me her song and then flies away. Mocking bird, mocking bird, you are my friend. I think I could listen to your song till the end.

I see him walking down the street in to the dark. I see him sitting with a girl out in the park I even see him in a late night picture show. It seems I see this fellow everywhere I go. But he's not physical. He's more spiritual. And, he's not from this world. He's from another world. Last night I felt his presence in the shower. And once I saw him turn in to a yellow flower. He haunts me daily so it's really nothing new. But he's not physical. He's more spiritual. He's not from this world. He's from another world. He's not material. He's more ethereal. He's not from this side. He's from the other side. Today I woke and he was next to me in bed. I said, "Hey, you better wait outside instead." But, he told me that he loved me and he'd wait for me - on the other side until eternity. But he's not physical. He's more spiritual. He's not from this world. He's from another world. He's not material. He's more ethereal. But he's not physical. He's more spiritual. He's not from this world. He's from another world. He's not material. He's more ethereal. He's not from this side. He's from the other side.

I once knew a man. I'll call him Joe. We took it slow. He took me anywhere I'd wanna go - in to a late night picture show. I wonder what became of Joe? I once knew a man. I'll call him Phil. He was a thrill. He took me out. He foot the bill. And so we sat upon a hill. I wonder what became of Phil? Now, I once knew a man. I'll call him Steve. He wouldn't leave. He wore his sorrows on his sleeve. And what I wicked web he'd weave. I wonder what became of Steve? And, I once knew a man. I'll call him Pete. He had two feet. He used to walk them down the street. We were always so discreet. We all know what became of Pete. I once knew these men. I think about them now and then. I wonder what became of them. And if our paths will cross again. Joe, Phil, Steve and Pete.

Do you know where you've been? Do you know where you're heading? Beyond this lifetime. Were we friends? Or at war? Will our memories show us more? Beyond this lifetime. Another time. Another place. Now I know where I've seen your face. Beyond this lifetime. Beyond this lifetime there's a place where you can go. It's just like going to the show. Come on, let's go! Beyond this lifetime there's a place where you come from. And if your brain is not too numb. You can go home. Let's go home. Do you know why you're here? Are you driven by love or by fear? From beyond this lifetime. Another planet up in the sky - that's where my soul first learned to fly. Beyond this lifetime. Beyond this lifetime there's a place where you can go. It's just like going to the show. Come on, let's go! Beyond this lifetime there's a place where you come from. And if your brain is not too numb. You can go home. Let's go home. Beyond this lifetime...

Diss 03:59
Something's wrong here. I can see it in your eyes. Discontent, disbelief, disenchantment - I can see through that disguise. So, if you change your mind. Well, that's okay. It's never too late to try a different way. Dissonant decision. Disconcern yourself with what other people think. And in the quiet of the night listen to that voice that speaks to you so gently always giving you a choice. And in the quiet of the night be honest with yourself. We haven't got much time here. Pick your dreams up off that dusty shelf. oh.... oh... So what are you gonna do? It's up to you. The sky's the limit. Don't let it fall on top of you. Some people may laugh. They sometimes do. Their down discontent . They're own disappointments make it impossible for them to support you. Forgive your parents too. And know that they love you. They're just afraid that they may lose you to a dissonant decision. Disconcern yourself with what other people think. And in the quiet of the night listen to that voice that speaks to you so gently always giving you a choice. And in the quiet of the night be honest with yourself. We haven't got much time here. Pick your dreams up off that dusty shelf. No, we haven't got much time here. Pick your dreams off that dusty shelf. So, what are you gonna do? It's up to you. The sky's the limit. Don't let it fall on top of you.
